2003-06-13 - 2:40 p.m. Went to see CHUMP last night. Music with a driving beat at obscenely loud volume levels. Only being fucked hard doggy style relaxes me as thoroughly – especially after a tough day. The band was decent – the drummer was awesome and his backup harmonies were dead on – but the lead singer could have stood to be more in tune. Some might say much more in tune. But it was loud and fast and in-your-face – and exactly what I was looking for. And Morristown is not that far to drive. Next time I think I’d like to see them at Double Ds (from what I understand, it’s a strip club? – still haven’t ever been to one of those). Left after the first set (and acquired a CHUMP bumper sticker), but I had gotten my fix and was already running on sleep dep, so it seemed a wise decision. Phone call at 3am that didn’t quite wake me from sleep. Another phone around 5am that I actually picked up the phone for – though I was so groggy that all I really understood was that it was someone who had claimed to have met me online last week sometime (which is kinda funny in retrospect because I wasn’t online last week). Asked what I was doing this weekend and seemed disappointed that I was going to be visiting family because he had wanted to make love to me. Whatever. Said his name was Greg? Or something? Was probably a prank call of some sort. I was just too out of it to figure it out. Because I don’t often give out my cell number. I’m thinking that using my full proper name as my yahoo messenger ID and having my phone number listed do not go together. But it wasn’t even my home phone that he called. It was my cell, which is unlisted unless I’ve called someone on their phone or specifically given it out. Maybe it was a wrong area code. There are two in South Jersey and you don’t have to dial the area code to make a phone call down there. It just uses the area code of the phone you’re calling from. So I’ve gotten a few phone calls for the chick that has the same number as my cell with the other area code. I may still change my yahoo messenger ID. So my plans for this weekend. My sister arriving via train from Manhattan (where she works – she gets out of work at 2pm on Fridays!), stopping by to see my new place (I went home and tidied up at lunch today), and then we’re driving down to our parents’ house. And I get to see my little guy! I’m so excited! This week has been the longest I’ve ever been away from him and I miss him so much! Father’s day/Birthday gift for my dad (his b-day is June 20th) from both my sister and I – Springsteen tickets. How cool is that?
