2003-06-13 - 11:24 p.m. My sister arrived safely at the train station. She was holding a bamboo plant when I picked her up. "Housewarming present," she explained, "It's supposed to bring good luck." I took her back to see my place. She's got such a sense of style - it definitely mattered to me what she thought of it. She gushed, as she often does - and through it all, she was totally sincere ... and very happy for me. As I've said before, she's one of my strongest and most vocal supporters. And I got to see my little guy!!!! He chuckled (so cute) when we came in the door and ran over to us. Lots of hugs and kisses later .... I gave him a haircut and a bath and put him to bed. I also fixed the roots of my hair with some haircolor product that I had deliberately kept for this purpose. So all-over blonde once again. (No heartbreaks - no worries.) Apparently the extended family is coming over to my parents' place on Sunday for Father's Day. I'm always the last to be told. It will be nice to see everybody though. My parents put a new bed in what used to be my room. It will be strange sleeping there now that it's not really my room anymore. At least I know that I'll have the cutest alarm clock on the face of the planet - yeah my folks will send him in to wake me up. "Come on Mama - I dink it's time you should geddup." I dink I'm gonna goda bed now. Nite nite.
