2003-07-09 - 12:51 a.m. So my ex-husband called again. Talked mostly about his new cell phone and new cell phone plan. But he wants to pick my son up on Friday night and keep him for the weekend. And though it would be ok to have a kid-free weekend (even if only to get the yard ready for the BBQ the following weekend ... though I hope that there's more to the weekend than yardwork), I don't know if I'm ok with leaving my baby with him like that. I told him that I'd get back to him tomorrow. I have to call his aunt and make sure that she will be around. And tell her that I don't want the girlfriend driving my son around (already told my ex-husband that one). And that he has to be in bed by 8:30 or his schedule will be off all next week. She will remember even if he doesn't. I'm still torn. My parents think that I should flat out refuse to let my ex-husband see the child (well, my father does) and tell him to take me to court about it. A. that could potentially risk my custody status - the courts frown upon the custodial parent keeping the child from the non-custodial parent. B. my son loves his daddy and wants to see his daddy. I can't deny my son that. So yeah, I'm seriously considering it.
