2003-07-11 - 2:06 p.m. And in latest news, the ex-husband is not coming to pick up the dear child. Apparently they've impounded his car because of the upaid parking tickets. To the tune of $1,360.00 or so. So he's running around to see what he has to do to get it out. Of course he has no money for train fare, so I'm not even sure he's going to be able to. What he's probably going to do is sit home and feel sorry for himself. And I personally think that a few well placed phone calls would be as effective as going there physically. But that's just my humble opinion. He tried to negotiate next weekend. Well, next weekend is the BBQ, so he's not taking him then. Then he tried to make arrangements for next Friday coming in the morning and spending the day with him in the town that I live in. All I have to say is that if he's not there by 7:45am, I'm taking my son to daycare. And he's not authorized to pick him up from daycare. I'm probably taking next Friday off to do the prep work for the BBQ. But my son would be going to daycare anyway (the last thing I need is little fingers getting in the way of my mad crazy chopping of vegetables and meat meat meat). I'm actually accepting offers of help for this thing too. Yes, me - the perfectionist/moderate control freak. Delagating to others. But when the gross majority of your friends are perfectionists too, you know you can trust them to do a great job. Sick, isn't it? And Saturday morning before the BBQ, I'm going to get my nails done. Anyone want to come with me and get pampered too or watch my small child?
