2003-07-14 - 7:58 p.m. I had a date tonight. Sexy bald guy in a tight white T-shirt that showed off incredible biceps. Even brought my son (any guy that is OK with that is pretty damn special). I was so wet. And I used a sponge. Yes folks, I had a date with Mr. Clean. Since today was garbage and recycling pickup (and they finally took the yard waste and the broken garbage can - YAY!!!), I decided to scrub out the 3 recycling bins and 2 remaining trash cans. When one doesn't have 4 new trash cans in her budget, one cleans out the two she has and buys 2 new ones. They no longer smell like ass. Amazing what a garden hose, a sponge, some Mr. Clean, and some good old fashioned elbow grease will do. Returned both trash cans and the recycling bin that was in the worst shape (crack in the side) to the side of the house. Both good recycle bins and the two new trash cans (yet to be purchased) will remain in the back yard for the BBQ. Did some more weeding too. I'll get there - by sheer force of will or slow dogged determination. And I've figured out what I'm going to need help with. Assembly. I'm picking up a new grill thing (probably charcoal, though I'm considering a gas grill) and some patio furniture, and some outdoor lighting (you know the little things that you stick in the ground along pathways). Though I'm capable of doing it myself given a set of directions (yes, I read them. first. before trying anything myself) and limitless time, I can do anything. I just don't have unlimited time. And I'm generally much better at throwing food together. Oh, ordered the keg of coors light *shudders* today. And have a comprehensive grocery shopping list as well as a list of non-food items to acquire. This party will come together!
