2003-07-16 - 3:01 p.m. Today's project, pitching mulch. Lots of mulch (why not? It's free!). So y'all have to tell me how nice everything looks when you get here. Jenny is coming over to help with mulch tonight and maybe some assembly tomorrow if I'm very lucky (did I mention that she's really good at assembly. Girl is a wanna-be-engineer. Has three different sizes of graph paper that she uses reguarly) before she heads off to a LEGO (yes, LEGO) function in Philly somewhere. Tomorrow (PAYDAY - WOOHOO): pay for the keg on lunch hour, go do the insane computer pickup/delivery and drop my son off with my mother. Maybe find a 24 hour grocery store and start putting food together. I'd really like to go see CHUMP at Jimmy's Haunt in Morristown, but I doubt I'll get there. I have a late night business meeting to go to. Friday: took a vacation day from work. Child will be at my parents' house. Massive grocery shopping (if I'm lucky, I'll have help carrying the groceries in from the car and unpacking them all too). Big non-grocery shopping too. Party City (paper products, chafing dishes, foil pans), Wal-Mart (grill: gas or charcoal, grill tools, maybe some resin chairs), Home Depot's garden center (plants, pots, outdoor lighting, insect repelling methods, maybe some paint for the kitchen, depends how ambitious I get), K-Mart (they have an adorable sandbox and some sand that I'm interested in and just a grill grate for the brick grill structure in my backyard, plus a keg bucket and maybe a resin table or 2), and I have to find a baby pool. Then take everything home and set it up, plus put food together. Luckily I will have company and help with some of the prep-cooking. Saturday morning: going shopping for a new sundress or something and getting my nails done. Oh, yeah, then the BBQ.
