2003-07-31 - 9:38 a.m. OK, so I went to put my son to bed last night and laid down on the bed with him for just a minute and promptly fell asleep leaving food out on the table and clothes on the floor and an IM screen open and poor Jenny wondering if I had died. 8 missed calls on my cell phone (I didn't know that I was so popular) and many hours later, I awoke at 3am. Threw most of the food in the garbage, and went back to sleep - in my own bed this time. Woke up at 6:30 am to my alarm and didn't have trouble ripping my ass out of bed (a rarity). So maybe I have finally caught up on my sleep. Today is check run. And PAYDAY (which rocks). And I even got a "gainsharing" check (first one) ... for a whopping $40.33 net. But money I wasn't expecting is always a good thing. And there was a purple plaid skirt that was about $42 ... hhmmmmmmm. Coincidence? So - getting my nails (fingers and toes) done today after work seems like a very good idea - it's only been like 4 weeks since I've done that. I'm thinking purple this time (which happens to match the aforementioned skirt ... hmmmmmm). My son will like the purple. And setting my nails done of course means doing a McDonald's trip with him. He's so good at the nail place, I have to make it special for him too. We're also going grocery shopping. We used the last of the juice last night and we're out of peanut butter and hot dogs - major life upsetting tragedies when you're 3 years old. I got so little done last night that I'm going to be very busy tonight. So that I don't have to do any of this shit this weekend. My mind is already in weekend mode. Now if I can just get through this check run ...
