I definitely needed a weekend. Read some rather good lesbian fiction that my ex-girlfriend-still-best-friend-sometimes-lover Jenny brought over for me. Multi-dimensional characters - strong women with insight and spirit. Almost makes me want to start writing again. Well, writing again is something I've been mentally moving towards for awhile now. It's intimidating actually. It's been so long since I've done anything other than recant the day to day drivel that is my life. Believe it or not, some of the best parts of that are not posted here - so don't be disappointed if you didn't "make" my page. The best stuff is too special for public consumption. I'm a little afraid to start writing again - worried about what is and isn't going to come out. But fears must be faced head-on, and write I will. I think that I was, at one point, pretty good at writing - but it's been a long time and I'm hardly the same person anymore. But I think I bring some more maturity to the writing desk than I have in the past, which should, by all rights and reasons, serve me well. The form and genre have yet to be determined, but it will happen.

The very lovely Seasiren came over for a surprise visit with some big news and sporting a new accessory. I will not spoil her fun by revealing it here, as she wants to do that herself in person. Congratulations sweetheart!

And she pointed me towards my high school's alumni page! I had no idea that one even existed! And so I have updated my file and linked to this page (Heaven help us all). I enjoyed seeing what everyone's been up to and my heart was warmed by some of the stories. People out and proud and happy and successful! I love you folks and always have! And others ... happily married ... people with multiple degrees ... lots of artists, performers, and schoolteachers - yay!

Off to enjoy the Sunday papers and play some Memory with my son.
